On September 3rd, the opening ceremony of the traditional Chinese Medicine Theme Day and the sixth Overseas Chinese Traditional Chinese Medicine Conference was held in Shougang Industrial Park. It was reported at the meeting that the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine will focus on supporting the high-quality development of the first batch of 17 TCM service export bases to promote TCM services to the world.

She believes that Beijing is rich in traditional Chinese medicine resources, with many famous hospitals, departments, doctors and medicines, and has unique conditions to develop traditional Chinese medicine service trade.

　　Wu Zhendou, director general of the International Cooperation Department of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said China is making new progress in its trade in traditional Chinese medicine services, and will expand access to the international market through high-level economic and trade platforms such as the china-Foreign Free Trade Agreement and the China-Eu Investment Agreement.

　　He said China will also support Beijing, Shanghai and other regions to further open up the service sector and the construction of a free trade port in Hainan, and actively promote the integration of TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine into the country's overall economic and trade development. In addition, China will focus on supporting the high-quality development of the first batch of 17 TCM service export bases to promote TCM services to the world.

　　Tu Zhitao, director of the Beijing Municipal Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), said that "TCM fever" has swept the world amid COVID-19. Beijing will improve the international TCM service system, build an international TCM service platform, promote TCM internationalization projects, foster new formats and models of TCM service export, explore and promote remote service models such as "Internet + TCM service", and raise the overall level and international status of TCM service trade.

　　The reporter learned that the total exhibition area of the TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine (TCM) themed activities of this year's FSTC is nearly 1,000 square meters. The exhibitors will focus on tracing the origin, inheritance, innovation and the future to show the advantages and roles of TRADITIONAL Chinese medicine (including ethnic medicine) in promoting epidemic prevention, prevention before disease, and health industry development.
