To improve the service system for cancer diagnosis and treatment, it is necessary to coordinate the resources for cancer diagnosis and treatment within the jurisdiction, clarify the functional positioning of TCM hospitals and other institutions, and form a service mechanism featuring technical guidance, upper and lower connectivity, hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, division of labor and collaboration, and coordination of traditional Chinese and western medicine.

Scientific and reasonable treatment should be selected accordingly such as surgery, chemotherapy and traditional Chinese medicine, based on the tumor pathological type, stage, characteristics, classification, molecular biology, and the comprehensive basic situation and treatment of patients. It's also required to formulate, perfect and refine operable and specific therapeutic regimen and clinical pathway, and implement standard diagnosis and treatment; The diagnosis and treatment model of "single disease and multi-discipline" has been implemented, and the related diagnosis and treatment system has been established and improved. The combination of multi-disciplines and both traditional Chinese and western medicine are emphasized to improve the level of clinical decision-making.
